‘Technovate – The ECE Students Forum’ of of Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management was inaugurated on 8th October 2016 at 9:45 am in the Seminar Hall-1. The inaugural session was presided by Dr. M.A. Bhavikatti, Principal, AITM, Bhatkal. The inaugural was followed by the workshop which was divided into two sessions. The resource person of the workshop Mr. C.S. Hanchinal, Senior Divisional Engineer, RTTC (BSNL), Mysore graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest of the function.

The ceremony began with an invocation by Mr. Abu Bakr of pre-final year ECE. Ms. Rabia Indikar and Ms. Prateeksha Naik of final year were the Masters of Ceremony. The final year students then escorted the dignitaries to the dais. Prof. T. M. P. Rajkumar, Head of ECE Dept., welcomed the gathering and gave an insight into the activities of the department and its students’ forum. The introduction of the Chief Guest Mr. C.S. Hanchinal was done by Aithal Preeti of Final year ECE. Technovate e-Newsletter for the year 2016-17 was released during the occasion by Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Bhavikatti. In his presidential address he appreciated the department for organizing such an event and advised the students to form an innovative club including new projects and ideas.

The top scorers Mithun Naik of VI semester with 77.33% and Geeta J Naik with 85% were felicitated during the program. Both secured first place in their respective batches. The chief guest Mr. C.S. Hanchinal addressed the gathering. He highlighted the importance of organizing such events which bridge the gap between the industry and academics. The Vice Principal Prof. H. M. Phalachandra emphasized on the implementation of newer associations among students. The president of the function then presented the chief guest with the momentum. The student coordinator of Technovate Mr. Mohiddin Saif Ruknuddin presented the Vote of Thanks.

The inaugural session was followed by two sessions of workshop by Mr. C.S. Hanchinal on ‘Recent Developments of Telecommunication’. He covered the topics including switching system and mobile communication system. He presented the students with the 4G Overview. He also explained the differences between the generations and also the evolution of 5G. The students were greatly benefited by the talk.

TECHNOVATE - The Electronics and Communication Engineering students' association was formed in the academic year 2005-06 with an aim of achieving all round development of the student community, exposing them to the latest technologies and trends in the industries by conducting various seminars and other personality development activities that fill in the confidence to take on the world outside.

Expert Talk on LabVIEW

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organised an expert talk on LabVIEW Software on 13th August 2016. Mr. Sunil Kumar V from VI Solutions, Bengaluru was the Guest Speaker.

Addressing the gathering during the inaugural session, Prof. T.M.P. Rajkumar, Professor and Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, gave an overview of the departmental activities. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Bhavikatti, Principal, highlighted the importance of the such programmes that facilitate bridging the gap between the industry and academics.

Followed by the inaugural session, Mr. Sunil Kumar V gave a technical talk on LabVIEW Software addressing its key features and applications. He also gave an exposure of the industrial trends and guided the students in preparing themselves for the industrial life. Around 50 students belonging to fifth and seventh semesters participated in the event.

Workshop on Programming Skills Inaugurated

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management has organised a Two-Day Workshop on Programming Skills on 1st and 2nd of March 2016. The workshop was marked open with an inaugural ceremony that was held on March 1st at 10.00 am.

The inaugural session was presided by Jb. Kashimji Mohammed Ansar, General Secretary, Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Bhatkal. The resource person of the workshop Mr. G. Srinivas, Technology Consultant, Hyderabad was the Chief Guest of the function. 

The ceremony began with an invocation by Mr. Unais. Prof. T. M. P. Rajkumar, Head of ECE Dept., welcomed the gathering. Prof. Shareef Bengalath introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering. Mr. G. Srinivas, in his address, highlighted the objectives of the workshop. Technovate e-Newsletter was released during the occasion. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Bhavikatti, Principal, AITM appreciated the department for organizing such an event and motivated the students. Dr. H. Udaya Prasanna, Director, R&D and Prof. H. M. Phalachandra, Vice Principal, AITM were present on the occasion. Jb. Kashimji Mohammed Ansar, in his presidential address, highlighted the importance of organizing such events which bridge the gap between the industry and academics. Miss Prateeksha Naik presented the Vote of Thanks. Mr. Saif and Mr. Danish were the Masters of Ceremony.

Prof. Sarfraz Mirzanaik, Prof. Kiran Shanbhag and Prof. Shrishail Bhat co-ordinated the program. Prof. Subramanya Bhagwath, Media Coordinator was present during the function.

The inaugural was followed by the workshop which extended for two days and was divided into four sessions. Around 100 students from different colleges in and around Bhatkal participated in the workshop.

About the Workshop

This workshop will helpful for engineering, diploma and BCA students, who are going to attend interviews for software MNCs.

Objectives of the Workshop

  • To implement, develop, and facilitate existing and new employee training
  • Assured adherence to corporate standards
  • Create Awareness on working skills in the Technology
  • Prepare students  for Technical Interviews

About the Resource Person

Mr. G. Srinivas is a Technology Consultant based in Hyderabad. He finished his post-graduation (M.Tech.) in  Computer Science and Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur in 2005.

As a freelancer, he has conducted various Training programs in nearly 100 Engineering colleges across various states and has trained nearly 10,000 students on Programming Skills.

Students Excel at Technical Fest Advitiya

Four of our students from the 7th Semester of Electronics and Communication Engineering have participated and won prizes in the events conducted during Advitiya ‘15, a National Level Students’ Technical Fest organized by KLE Institute of Technology, Hubballi.

Sachin and Kiran have won first place in TECHNOCRACY and third place in TECHTRIVIA. Ramachandra and Krishna have won second place in TECHNOCRACY. The students have grabbed a total cash prize of Rs. 10000.
